DD Blocky is a block-placement puzzle where you fit Tetris-style shapes onto a grid. Each turn you receive a random tetromino, and you must drag it to an empty space on the board. When a horizontal row or vertical column is completely filled with blocks, that line clears and disappears, freeing the space. The game ends when no new piece can be placed anywhere on the grid.

The puzzle deepens as the board fills. Since pieces arrive in a set order and cannot be rotated, you must decide early where to sacrifice space and where to build toward clearable lines. Clearing both a row and a column with one placement is often your best move, but setting that up requires leaving carefully positioned gaps. The real difficulty emerges when the grid is half full: every remaining hole dictates what kind of piece can fit, and if the next piece doesn't match, the game ends. This tension between immediate survival and strategic preparation is what keeps each session engaging.

Tips to win

• Aim to clear a row and column simultaneously by positioning pieces to complete both with one placement; this creates more space sooner.
• When the next piece is shown, plan current placement to leave an appropriate opening for it rather than filling the most obvious spot.
• Avoid creating isolated single-cell holes, especially in corners; they are hard to fill and often end runs early.
