Block Tree
About Block Tree
Block Tree is a block placement puzzle where you fit polyomino shapes onto a square grid. You are given a set of shapes, one at a time, and must place each on the board anywhere you like. When you fill every cell of a horizontal row or vertical column, that line disappears, clearing space and adding to your score. The game continues until no remaining shape can fit on the board.
The core challenge is spatial planning. Each placement is permanent unless it completes a line, so careless moves quickly clog the board. You must decide whether to use a shape immediately to clear a low-value line or hold it for a potential multi-line clear. As the board fills, available space shrinks, and shapes that were easy to place early become impossible. The random order of shapes keeps every game unpredictable, rewarding patient, forward-thinking play over quick reactions.
Tips to win
- Keep open space in the center of the board; corners are harder to fill with complex shapes.
- Before placing a shape, check if it can complete multiple rows or columns at once for a higher score.
- Avoid creating isolated holes; leave paths for future shapes to fit into gaps.
