Color Lines
About Color Lines
Color Lines is a turn-based puzzle on a square grid. Each turn you select an empty cell; a coloured block appears there. If that block forms a line of five or more same-coloured blocks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, the whole line is removed and you score. Then new random blocks appear in empty cells.
The challenge is managing a board that fills up. New blocks appear after every move, so space is always shrinking. Plan several moves ahead: leave room for future placements and set up line completions that free multiple cells at once. A misplaced block can block a crucial path or create a colour cluster impossible to clear. The game ends when no empty cells remain.
Tips to win
- Keep the centre of the board open; placing blocks on edges reduces your options for future lines.
- Look for opportunities to complete two lines with one block; this saves space and clears more cells.
- If a colour is scattered, try to group it in one area rather than spreading it out, so a line becomes possible.
