About Block Puzzle: Brain Blast

The board is a square grid, and a tray holds a set of coloured block shapes. Drag a shape from the tray and place it anywhere on the grid. Your goal is to fill entire rows or columns. When a row or column is completely filled with blocks, it clears from the board and you score points. The game continues until no more pieces can be placed.

The challenge comes from the shapes. They are irregular and do not fit everywhere. You must decide where each piece goes, leaving space for future pieces. A bad placement can create a gap that is hard to fill. Clearing multiple lines at once gives bonus points. The game ends when the tray has pieces that cannot fit on the board, or when no moves remain. It is easy to learn but requires foresight to get high scores.

Tips to win

  • Plan for placements that complete two lines at once, such as a row and a column intersecting.
  • Keep the board as open as possible; avoid creating isolated single-cell holes.
  • Start by filling edges and corners, leaving the centre clear for larger shapes.
