About Snake Way

In Snake Way, you steer a colorful snake through a grid-based maze, moving it one square at a time. Each input chooses a direction, and the snake's body follows behind, occupying the squares it passes through. Your aim is to guide the snake to the exit tile without crashing into walls, obstacles, or its own body. Every level is a fixed puzzle: the maze, snake length, and exit are predetermined, and you must discover a safe path from start to finish.

The difficulty comes from forward planning. Because the snake's tail trails behind, early moves block off later routes, so you need to anticipate how the body will curl. As puzzles advance, corridors narrow, obstacles multiply, and some levels require guiding multiple snakes to separate exits in the right order. One impatient step can trap you, forcing a restart.

Tips to win

  • Examine the whole board before moving; plan a route that leaves enough space for the snake's trailing body.
  • If stuck, try making a loop to reposition the tail and open a new corridor.
  • In levels with multiple snakes, move the one that is most constrained first to avoid blocking others.
