In Backroom Exit, you control a first-person character trapped in the endless yellow-walled corridors of the Backrooms. Your goal is to find the exit by exploring the environment, searching for hidden objects, and gathering clues. You move through the maze-like rooms, examining items and picking up anything that might be useful. Some objects must be combined with others to unlock mechanisms or reveal codes.

The challenge comes from the disorienting layout: the corridors look nearly identical, and it is easy to lose your bearings while hunting for the next clue. Puzzles require close observation and logical thinking, and the oppressive atmosphere adds pressure. Progress depends on finding the right objects in the right order and using them at the correct locations. One wrong path can send you wandering in circles, but careful searching and note-taking will eventually reveal the way out.

Tips to win

• Search every corner and behind objects; hidden clues are often placed in out-of-the-way spots.
• Keep track of landmarks or make a mental map to avoid walking in circles.
• Examine items closely and think about how they might combine with other objects you have found.
