In Nexus 3D, you rotate glowing nodes on a three-dimensional grid to connect neon wires from a central power source to every target circuit. Each node holds a set of fixed wire segments; rotating the node changes which adjacent nodes they line up with. A connection is made when wires from neighbouring nodes touch, and a complete chain from source to all targets powers the circuits, lighting up the path.
The challenge comes from visualising the connections across multiple axes. As levels are procedurally generated, the node layouts become more tangled, forcing you to plan several rotations ahead. A single misaligned node can break the entire circuit, so you'll often need to backtrack and readjust. The difficulty rises gradually, introducing denser clusters and longer paths that test your spatial reasoning without ever rushing you.
Tips to win
- Begin with nodes that have limited rotation options, such as corners or straight pieces near the edges.
- Follow the flow: identify which nodes are already powered and rotate adjacent nodes to extend the connection.
- Rotate a node and observe all its faces before deciding; a wire may connect on a side you overlooked.
