In Drop & Merge 2048, numbered cubes fall from the top, and you choose which of five columns each cube should drop into. When a cube lands on top of another cube with the same number, the two merge into a single cube worth double the value. The goal is to keep merging to create higher numbers without letting any column fill to the top.

The challenge is planning your drops across the five columns. Because merging only happens within a column, a poorly placed cube can block lower merges or force you to waste space. Chain reactions occur when a merge creates a number that instantly matches the cube below, collapsing a column and buying time. As numbers climb, the board fills faster, and near misses become more punishing.

Tips to win

• Focus on building one or two columns with high-value cubes, leaving other columns clear for temporary placements.
• Avoid dropping low-value cubes on top of high-value cubes, as it wastes space and can block future merges.
• Try to set up chain reactions by placing a cube that will merge and then match the cube below it, clearing multiple blocks at once.
