About Sliding Slide

Sliding Slide is a sliding tile puzzle in which a picture is divided into square tiles and shuffled, leaving one empty space on the grid. The player clicks or taps any tile adjacent to the empty space to slide it into that space, moving the empty space to the tile's previous location. The goal is to arrange the tiles in the correct order to reconstruct the original image.

The game is played against the clock. The timer starts when the puzzle is shuffled and stops when the image is complete. Larger grids with more tiles increase the difficulty, as does the complexity of the illustration. The challenge lies in planning sequences of moves that shift multiple tiles toward their correct positions without disturbing already placed tiles.

Tips to win

• Solve the top row and left column first, then work on the remaining sub-grid to avoid disturbing completed sections.
• Use the empty space as a buffer to move tiles into position without breaking solved areas.
• Before making a move, consider how it affects the positions of other tiles; sometimes a longer sequence is faster than a direct approach.
