About Puzzlebot

In Puzzlebot, you assemble jigsaw puzzles by dragging pieces from a tray onto a board to complete an image. Each puzzle is offered in three difficulty levels, changing the number of pieces and how they are cut. A timer tracks your completion time, and limited hints reveal the correct location for a piece when you are stuck. There are seven puzzles in total, each with a distinct picture.

The core challenge lies in recognising shapes and colour patterns, and deciding where to place pieces without wasting time. Rushing leads to pieces dropped in the wrong spot, costing seconds as they bounce back. Difficulty ramps up as piece counts increase and edges become more similar, forcing reliance on subtle image details. Managing hints is strategic: using one early on an easy piece may leave you stuck later on a hard one.

Tips to win

  • Sort pieces by edge and corner pieces first to build the border, which frames the image and makes interior placement easier.
  • Group pieces by colour or pattern before attempting to place them, to reduce search time.
  • Save hints for the most difficult pieces or when you're truly stuck, as they are limited.
