About Sand Blocks

You are given three block shapes at a time. Place them one by one anywhere on the grid; when placed, each block crumbles into colored sand that flows to fill nearby spaces. Your goal is to complete horizontal lines entirely of one color; such lines disappear, freeing space. Because sand flows and settles, the final shape depends on the block's design and the existing sand below, making predictions tricky. With three pieces available at once, you choose the order to maximize line clears. The game ends when sand crosses the limit line, so every placement must consider long-term color distribution and available gaps.

Tips to win

  • Think about how sand will flow before placing: it can slide into lower gaps, so anticipate the final resting pattern to complete same-color rows.
  • Use the order of your three blocks strategically: placing one shape earlier may block a color from reaching a crucial row.
  • Keep an eye on the limit line; if sand is piling high, prioritize clearing lower rows to create more working space.
