In Royal Jelly Jam, each level presents a grid filled with jelly blocks of different colors and a set of colored gates. The goal is to slide every block into the gate that matches its color. Blocks move in straight lines and stop only when they hit a wall or another block, so you must plan each push carefully. When a block reaches its gate, it melts away and is removed from the board. Clearing all blocks before the timer runs out completes the level.
The challenge comes from limited space and the order of operations. Blocks block each other's paths, and you often need to move a block aside temporarily even if it is not its final destination. The timer keeps pressure on, so inefficient shuffling means failure. As levels progress, grids get more crowded and gates are positioned in awkward corners, requiring longer sequences of moves and more foresight.
Tips to win
- Work backwards from the gates: figure out the last block that must enter each gate, and clear its path first.
- Use blocks of other colors as temporary walls to stop sliding blocks where you need them.
- If stuck, look for a block that can be moved to a harmless corner to open up space for another move.
