In Maze Escape Hero, you control a knight lost in a two-dimensional maze. The goal is to escape, but the exit remains sealed until you complete two tasks: collect a required number of lost crowns scattered throughout the maze, then find the Holy Sword, which activates only after you have gathered enough crowns. Once the sword is powered, you can use it to break through the exit and finish the level. Movement is grid-based, and the maze grows more intricate with each stage, demanding careful route planning to avoid wasted steps. The core challenge lies in balancing exploration with efficiency: do you grab nearby crowns first, or chart a direct path to the sword and hope you pass enough crowns along the way? Dead ends and looping corridors make blind wandering costly, so mental mapping and pattern recognition become essential tools.

Tips to win

• Sketch a rough map of the maze as you explore, marking dead ends and crown locations to avoid re-exploring.
• Before moving, look ahead: if you see a crown at the far end of a corridor, decide whether the detour is worth the extra steps.
• If you find the sword early but lack crowns, retrace your steps from the sword to the nearest crown you missed, then return directly.
