About Blob Slide
Jelly blobs sit on a tabletop of squares. Swipe one and it slides in a straight line — and keeps sliding until something stops it: a post, or another blob. Blobs that end up side by side stick together for good and slide as one from then on. Get every blob stuck into a single wobbly mass and the puzzle is solved.
The catch is the table's edge. A blob with nothing in its path slides straight off, over the edge or into a gap in the table, and without it the puzzle can't be finished — undo, or start again. So each move is a question of what will stop it: the posts are your friends, every blob you stick together is a bigger wall for the next one to stop against, and the order you join them in is everything. From level 21 some blobs are asleep: they won't budge on their own until an awake blob sticks to them and carries them along.
Every puzzle has been solved by computer, so there is always a way, and par is the fewest slides it can be done in; match it for three stars. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone and ranked by fewest slides, counting any you take back. Sixty levels grow from two blobs on a small table to seven on a big one.
Tips to win
- Before each slide, find what will stop it — if nothing will, it's gone
- Join blobs next to posts first: they make the best walls
- A bigger mass stops more slides, so build one group and bring the rest to it
- Wake sleepy blobs early — until then they're just posts that need joining
