In Samurai Brawling you control Arashin, a yakuza warrior, moving through 3D arenas and fighting enemies with a combination of basic strikes, blocks, and dodges. Your goal is to defeat all opponents in each encounter to advance the story. A special-attack meter charges as you land hits and take damage; when full, you can unleash a powerful technique specific to your current skill tree.

The challenge comes from reading enemy attack patterns and managing your positioning. Mashing buttons leaves you open to counterattacks, so timing your blocks and dodges is essential. As you progress, enemies get faster and attack in groups, forcing you to prioritize targets. Defeating bosses unlocks new abilities, letting you customize Arashin toward aggressive combos or defensive play.

Tips to win

• Don't mash attacks; observe enemy wind-ups and block or dodge before countering.
• Build your special meter by landing hits, then use the special to break enemy guards or finish groups.
• Upgrade abilities that match your preferred style: focus on damage for quick kills or defense for longer fights.
