Order of Operations Challenge
About Order of Operations Challenge
Quick-fire mental arithmetic with one rule that trips up everyone: order of operations. Each round shows an expression — brackets, powers, the lot — and four candidate answers. You have limited time to remember that multiplication beats addition and that the innocent-looking minus sign is where the traps live.
Four modes (Easy through Pro) scale both the expressions and the clock, fifteen correct answers advance a level, and harder modes pay more XP. It's unapologetically an exercise disguised as a game — but a genuinely effective one, and weirdly competitive once you start chasing your own accuracy streak.
Tips to win
- Evaluate brackets fully before even glancing at the answer options
- Watch for subtraction followed by a bracket — sign errors are the game's favorite trap
- The wrong options are built from common mistakes; if your answer isn't listed, re-check your operation order
