In Ninja Hero Cats, you control a squad of feline ninjas fighting through a magical realm overrun by demons. Move your cats around the battle arena to dodge incoming projectiles and attack enemies with ninja strikes. Defeated demons drop fish, which you collect to unlock upgrades like increased damage or faster movement. Mystical portals appear as you progress; reaching one takes you to the next area, but you must survive the onslaught to get there.
The challenge comes from managing multiple cats at once while under fire. Each cat is vulnerable, and losing one weakens your squad for the rest of the run. As you advance, demons spawn in greater numbers and attack more aggressively, forcing you to balance grabbing fish for upgrades against staying safe. The best players learn when to split the cats for coverage and when to group them for concentrated attacks.
