In Kofi Adventure, you control the titular character through a series of side-scrolling levels set in enchanted forests and mysterious caves. The goal is to reach the end of each area by running, jumping across platforms, and overcoming magical creatures that patrol the path. Timing is everything: you must judge the right moment to leap over gaps, avoid projectiles, or strike enemies when they are vulnerable.

The challenge comes from the strategic layer beneath the platforming. Some creatures cannot be defeated directly and must be lured or avoided using the environment. Puzzles break up the action, requiring you to manipulate switches, move objects, or activate mechanisms in the correct order. Your choices in these moments affect the ending you receive, encouraging replay to see how different decisions unfold.
