About Hunters and Props

In Hunters and Props, each round splits players into two roles: hiders and hunters. Hiders disguise themselves as everyday objects scattered across a cluttered map—a lamp, a chair, a potted plant—and must remain motionless to blend in. Hunters patrol the same space, trying to identify which objects are actually players before time expires. A hunter can shoot or attack a suspected prop; if it is a disguised player, that hider is eliminated. The round ends when all hiders are found or the timer runs out.

The tension comes from the dense, busy environments. Every object looks slightly suspicious, and hunters must rely on memory of the room's layout to spot anything out of place—a chair that has moved, a plant that wasn't there before. Hiders, meanwhile, need to choose disguises that fit the setting and resist the urge to flee when a hunter walks past. Matches are quick and unpredictable, rewarding patience and sharp observation. The game supports solo play against AI opponents or matches with friends.

Tips to win

  • As a hider, choose a prop that naturally belongs in the area and avoid moving when hunters are nearby.
  • As a hunter, shoot only when you are fairly confident—wasting attacks can give away your position or cost you time.
  • Listen for audio cues like footsteps or object noises to locate hidden players.
