Whirly
About Whirly
In Whirly, a windmill with four colored sections rotates at the bottom of the screen while sacks of matching colors fall from above. The player's job is to rotate the windmill so that each falling sack lands on the section of the same color. If a sack touches a differently colored section, the game ends immediately. The control is simple: each click or tap turns the windmill one quarter step at a time. The game is designed to be easy to pick up, making it suitable for players of all ages, but the one-mistake rule keeps the tension high.
The challenge lies in managing the rotation efficiently. With only four positions to choose from, the decisions are quick but require focus. Since the game is over after a single mistake, players must balance speed and precision. The gentle pace and straightforward mechanics make it a good option for short, casual play sessions, though the constant need for attention can still catch you off guard.
Tips to win
- Spot the falling sack's color as soon as it appears to give yourself time to rotate.
- If the windmill is already on the correct color, do not click; unnecessary rotations can cause a misalignment.
- Learn the fixed order of the colors around the windmill to quickly calculate how many clicks you need.
