In Grayscale, the background displays one of three colours: black, white, or gray. A grid of boxes appears, each also coloured black, white, or gray. Your task is to click the box that matches the background colour exactly. Each correct click clears the board and immediately presents a new background colour and a fresh set of boxes, so the challenge repeats continuously.

The twist is that all three colours are achromatic, and the background changes after every correct answer. Speed is crucial: pause too long and the run ends, as does clicking the wrong shade. The game tests rapid visual discrimination and reaction time, pushing you to make split-second decisions without second-guessing. As you build a streak, the pace feels increasingly unforgiving, making each session a tense exercise in focus.

Tips to win

• Keep your eyes fixed on the background colour; use your peripheral vision to locate the matching box.
• Distinguish black and white first, as they are easiest; reserve extra attention for the gray box.
• Aim for a steady rhythm rather than rushing blindly, since a single wrong click ends the game.
