About Cut the Rope: Magic
Cut the Rope: Magic keeps the core of the original: you cut ropes to drop candy into Om Nom's mouth, but now Om Nom can transform into different magical forms that change how puzzles play out. Each level is a physics playground where ropes, bubbles, and moving platforms hold the candy. Your only action is slicing ropes at the right moment. Doing so drops, swings, or launches the candy toward Om Nom, who might be flying as a bird, shrinking to baby size, or growing into a giant. The challenge is sequencing cuts so the candy follows the correct path while avoiding spikes, spiders, and other hazards. Later levels add portals, magic hats, and a mischievous wizard who tries to block your way, forcing you to think several steps ahead. The simple mechanic stays, but every new form introduces a fresh rule: what worked for a bird won't work for a baby, so you constantly re-learn how the stage behaves.
Tips to win
- Before making the first cut, trace the full path the candy will take after each rope is severed, including swings and bounces.
- Collect stars by guiding the candy past them, but don't sacrifice the main goal: if a risky star grab loses the candy, it's not worth it.
- Pay attention to Om Nom's current form: a flying Om Nom can catch candy in mid-air, but a baby Om Nom needs the candy dropped right into his mouth.
