In Blumgi Merge Online, the player drags characters onto a grid. When two identical characters are placed next to each other, they merge into a single stronger unit. The aim is to keep merging units to reach the level's target character or to clear all obstacles. The board has limited space, so each placement matters.

The core decision is which merges to chase and which areas of the board to sacrifice. Because characters cannot be removed once placed, a bad merge can block future moves. As levels progress, the target characters become harder to reach and obstacles consume space, forcing tighter planning.

Tips to win

• Plan merges around the target character; avoid merging low tiers that won't help you reach the required unit.
• Keep the board as clear as possible early on; merging smaller units frees up space but creates clutter if done randomly.
• Look ahead: since placements are permanent, think about where a new character will go and whether it might block a future merge.
